WC police seize large consignment of drugs

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape police have made a major drug bust, seizing drugs worth half a million rand.

A 27-year-old man linked to drugs found at a house in Uithof Street, Kirstenhof, was also arrested.

Acting on a tip-off, police searched the premises on Thursday night and found a large consignment of drugs.

 "The members accosted the address in Uithof Street, Kirstenhof in collaboration with a private security company and commenced with a search of the premises leading to the discovery of 1730 Ecstasy tablets to the estimated value of about R500 000 in a bag behind a bed", said the police's Malcolm Pojie.
