[WATCH] Police's Operation Shanela targets Roodepoort

In a coordinated Operation Shanela stop-and-search on Thursday morning, the South African Police Service and other law enforcement units descended on Roodepoort to clamp down on criminal activity. Several suspects were arrested for offences including drug possession and being in the country illegally. The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to restore law and order in hotspot areas.
