JOHANNESBURG - Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema said says education needs to be a top priority in parts of Soweto he claims are being neglected.
Malema made the comments while drumming up support at Ward 24 in the south of Johannesburg.
The visit comes ahead of by-elections set to take place there this week.
The party said poor service delivery cannot go unabated.
This includes a lack of schools and healthcare facilities.
Malema said more schools need to be built as part of addressing community issues.
“How can we be a ward with no high school? The whole ward has no high school? We want a high schools in our neighbourhoods. We need qualified people to teach our children.”
