2 people killed in vehicle collision outside Knysna

CAPE TOWN - Motorists have been advised to avoid a stretch of the N2 due to a fatal crash outside Knysna.

Two people died when a truck overturned at White Bridge on Thursday morning.

Traffic authorities said the vehicle also caught alight on impact.

The Western Cape mobility department’s Muneera Allie said that part of the highway had been closed for emergency crews.
 
"Two fatalities are confirmed. All teams are on site attending the scene. While one lane is currently open, the road will be closed temporarily as teams attend to clearing the scene."
