Police investigating murder in suspected incident of taxi violence

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating a murder in a suspected incident of minibus taxi violence.  

A 55-year-old man was shot dead and three others were wounded in Khayelitsha. 

Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg said the victims were found in Njabulo Street with gunshot wounds to their bodies on Friday.  

"The 55-year-old victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel, while the other victims were taken to a medical facility for medical treatment. 

"The motive for the attack is believed to be taxi-related. The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested."
